Exit Slip 9.9.2010

Today was a very informative and insightful day in class.  It was a lot of information to take in, but I found I was way less confused than I was a few days ago.  Many questions got answered that I had.  One being what a "wiki" is.  I learned that a "wiki" is a temporary technology tool.  What makes it different from other websites, such as Google or Yahoo, is that you can freely post anything you want, you can edit or add stuff at anytime, and the biggest attribute "wiki" holds is that anyone can be a contributer! The amazing thing about "wiki" is that you're contributing content to the web.  The "wiki" we will be using in class will document our daily activities.  "Wiki" is a great idea for my future class! Parents will love it and my students can rely on it to remind them of the day they just had.  I also learned in class today what Social Bookmarking is.  A site on Yahoo called "Delicious" is a public site where you can store all your favorite tags and look at other people's tags too! It's a great way to find amazing sites and I can't wait to learn more about it!
